Changing the Events List Default View to Display the
Calendar in a Windows SharePoint Services-based Web Site
Web sites created with Windows SharePoint Services are
pre-populated with an Events list. You can customize how it
first appears using FrontPage 2003 by changing the List
Properties so Events displays the Calendar view instead of
the normal default view
To change List Properties so Events displays the Calendar
view in your Windows SharePoint
Services-based Web site, open the site with
FrontPage 2003 and do the following:
- In the Folder List pane, double-click on the Lists folder
and then right-click on the Events list and select Properties...
from the flyout menu to open the Events List Properties dialog box.
- Select the Supporting Files tab and click the down arrow in the
Default view page: list box at the top.
- Select Lists/Events/calendar.aspx from the file list to change
the default view page from AllItems.aspx to the calendar view.
- Click OK to save your changes.
