Adding Spaces to Link Bar Buttons
Link bars provide powerful ways to link to pages both on
and off your site. With FrontPage 2003, you can use the
buttons from any of the Themes installed on your system whenever you want to
customize link bars in your Windows SharePoint Services-based site.
Occasionally, your Web site design will require you to
left-justify text on a button.
However, when your button includes a border or other design element on its left edge, you will
find that the text can be too far over to the left as shown here:

First, open the Web site created with FrontPage or based on
Windows SharePoint Services that contains the link bar you want to work on using
FrontPage 2003 and do the following:
- In Folder List view, Double-click on a page that contains the
link bar you want to work on. This opens it for editing in Page
view.
- Click View, then Navigation to switch to
Navigation view, click
on the link bar you want to work on.

- Right-click on the first page in the link bar,
select Rename, and press the Home button on your
keyboard to position
your cursor at the beginning of the text.
- On your keyboard, press and hold the ALT key and then type
0160 to insert a
space in front of the page title. Insert multiple spaces by typing ALT+0160 for each
additonal space you want to add.
- Repeat steps 4 through 6 for the rest of the pages in your link
bar.
- Click View, then Page to switch to Page View. You
should now see spaces inserted so that the text is still left-justified, but
not all the way to the left.
