Moving a Custom Theme From One Computer to Another

There are two ways to transfer a Theme you have customized using FrontPage 2003.

A). Custom Themes are located in the operating system partition of your hard drive at local_drive:\documents and settings\%userprofile%\application data\microsoft\themes.  Each custom Theme has its own directory. Copy the directory folder to the other computer placing it in the same location local_drive:\documents and settings\%userprofile%\application data\microsoft\themes. Now when FrontPage 2003 is opened on that machine, it will be listed with other custom Themes.

B). Custom Themes can be downloaded from the site to a new computer that is granted authoring permission using FrontPage 2003. Do the following:

  1. From the new computer, open the Web site with FrontPage 2003 and display the Theme task pane.
  2. Select Theme... from the Format menu and locate the custom theme in the Theme task pane.
  3. Click the down arrow and select Customize... You will then be prompted to download the theme to you local machine. Select Yes.
