The Rich Site Summary (RSS) format, based on XML, has become the format of choice for distributing news headlines on the Internet. Some of the feeds below use Windows SharePoint Services-based Web parts which can be further customized using FrontPage 2003.

1stHeadlines brings free feeds of Top Breaking News Headlines from around the world. Their search engine offers 6 categories: U.S. & World, Business, Health, Lifestyles, Sports and Technology and covers major news sources including Reuters, USA Today, Fox News, UK-BBC-World, MSNBS and more. Some of the sites require registration.
